Splitboarders who want a buoyant shape and the quick-turning, rooster-kicking goodness of the Amplid Millisurf, yet with a focus more on bombproof construction than shaving off every last nanogram, will be pumped to ferry themselves around the backcountry on the new Surf Shuttle.
Fish tailed and with the kind of nose a Mandril would be proud of, the Surf Shuttle is built to float effortlessly over powder, chop and crud. Amplid's Knuckle Sandwich construction is reinforced in areas prone to damage when splitboarding, while their homegrown hardware makes for hassle-free transitions to have you quickly back to getting pitted in the whiteroom.
With Amplid's new patented STRATOSPHERIC topsheet, lighter weight is achieved from simply designing topsheets that prevent snow buildup
A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Cruise Camber’s toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like Pop Camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In Amplid’s directional snowboards and skis a touch of early rise is added to Cruise Camber to improve buoyancy even further.
Amplid Surf Shuttle Splitboard 21/23
Lite Core - Uber light wood varieties are cut, treated and aligned in a way only our factory knows. Its strength to weight ratio has scientists baffled.
Stratospheric Topsheet - Less heat, less sticky snow, less weight - Thanks to a special heat reflecting coating patented by Amplid.
Pre-Cured Impact Plates - Tough, pre-cured composite impact plates placed beneath bindings and touring hardware significantly reduce the risk of topsheet dings and breakages.
Knuckle Sandwich Construction - Knuckle Sandwich replaces conventional materials prone to damage with more durable alternatives. It’s like Botox for your board, but without the trout pout.
Basalt Suspension Strips - Running along the topsheet in a V-configuration from the contact points towards the bindings, these narrow bands of Basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping you edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the Rolls Royce feeling!
All Terrain Tips - A smooth kick radius and fuller tip outline improves deep snow floatation without adding swing weight.
Biax Glass - Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.
Sintered 7 Base - Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
Split Tune - Amplid lightly rounds the edges at the tip and tail, outside of the effective edge. Blunting these edges reduces chipping to the topsheet during skinning.
3D Crust Buster Nose - A convex nose profile which improves tracking and fluidity in three-dimensional snow. To retain responsiveness, the contact points are not lifted.
Bolted Tip Clips - Using threaded bolts instead of rivets allows broken tip clips to be easily replaced, on the hill, without the need for a workshop full of tools.
Custom Clips - Forged aluminium board hooks, designed in-house by Amplid’s R&D team, offer a dependable, but weightless connection between board halves and have a slick matt black aesthetic.
