If you yearn for performance snow surfing at the end of your split tours, but you’re not bothered about an extra microgram here or there, then the Surf Shuttle is your ticket to the powder ferry of your dreams.
Dialling back the tech on the Millisurf gives a mellower, more bomb-proof ride but it will still be as reactive as you need, whether it’s blower or crud. Additionally – like all Amplid’s splitboards – the STRATOSPHERIC topsheet helps shed snow to ensure that the way up is as effortless as the way down.
Ultra-buoyant but quick-turning, the slashing the backcountry has never felt so fun.
For 2023 tip- and tail holes that make mounting skins hassle-free have been added.
Amplid Surf Shuttle Splitboard
Low Camber W/ Early Rise - A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Its toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like Pop Camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In Amplid’s directional snowboards a touch of early rise is added to Cruise Camber to improve buoyancy even further.
3D Crust Buster Nose - A convex nose profile which improves tracking and fluidity in three-dimensional snow. To retain responsiveness, the contact points are not lifted.
Knuckle Sandwich - Knuckle Sandwich replaces conventional materials prone to damage with more durable alternatives. It’s like Botox for your board, but without the trout pout.
Basalt Suspension Strips - Running along the topsheet in a V-configuration from the contact points towards the bindings, these narrow bands of Basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping you edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the Rolls Royce feeling!
Lite Core - Uber light wood varieties are cut, treated and aligned in a wayonly our factory knows. Its strength to weight ratio has scientistbaffled.
All-Terrain Tips - A smooth kick radius and fuller tip outline improves deep snowfloatation without adding swing weight.
Pre-Cured Impact Pads - Tough, pre-cured composite impact plates placed beneath bindings and touring hardware significantly reduce the risk of topsheet dings and breakages.
Biaxial Glass - Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.
Sintered 7 Base - Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
Stratospheric Topsheet - Less heat, less sticky snow, less weight - Thanks to a special heat reflecting coating.
Split Tune - We lightly round the edges at the tip and tail, outside of the effective edge. Blunting these edges reduces chipping to the topsheet during skinning.
Bolted Tip Clips - Using threaded bolts instead of rivets allows broken tip clips to be easily replaced, on the hill, without the need for a workshop full of tools.
Custom Clips - Forged aluminium board hooks, designed in-house by Amplid’s R&D team, offer a dependable, but weightless connection between board halves and have a slick matt black aesthetic.
